The fifth and final Ashes test of the series will be in the New Year at the impressive Sydney Cricket Ground, the game will start on January 3rd and it could be the defining game of the series. It may be that the destination of the Ashes will depend on the outcome of this game so it could be an exciting five days.

With an additional day off in-between the fourth and decisive fifth test of the 2010/11 ashes series both teams will be fresh and ready to give it their all in what could decide whether England retain the Ashes for the first time since the 1986-87 series or whether Australia will continue their dominance in Australia by regaining the Ashes.

Last time England played in the Ashes at the SCG was in 2007 when they got hammered, it was the final nail in the coffin for the English as they lost by ten wickets. The problem that time was their batting so that will be of extra importance this time around, if they can get off to a better start to the series they will hope to come into this one with more confidence.
